"White Rose" Restaurant — Restaurant in Loulé

We recently dined at Rosa Branca only to be thoroughly disappointed. This place is nothing more than a tourist trap with indifferent and inefficient service.

The only reason people come here is its prime location at the beginning of the promenade by the sea. However, the service is chaotic and disorganized. There are about three different queues to enter, with people standing around waiting for a table. The hostess is completely useless, frequently forgetting who was next in line and seating people who arrived 15 minutes later before those who had been waiting.

After protesting, we finally got a table, but it was another letdown. The restaurant interior resembles a hospital, with barren walls, harsh white lighting, and no renovation or decoration in the last 10 years.

The service continued to be a disaster. It took 25 minutes just to get some bread to the table. While the food wasn’t bad, the portions were small for the price, and by that point, we were desperate to leave.

If you want delicious, cheap seafood, go to Agua Salgada nearby. For seafood with a view, take a taxi to Roxa Baixinha, which is 15 minutes away.

Avoid THIS unless you want to experience a prime example of how not to run...

I often write reviews with lots of positive points but unfortunately all I can say here is the view of the sea and the beach are this restaurants good points. The seating, the restaurant and the toilets are cheap and tired. The worst part of our booking was the ridiculously slow service and lack of customer service.. and the really frustrating part was that myself and my partner didn't receive our food until after the children had finished there meals( both boys aged 9 & 12) were not happy with their kids meals, but, we were feeling hopeful to try our mixed grilled fish platter even though to our complete disappointment that the boys were now finished and waiting ...again! The meal itself was accompanied by potatoes and vegetables both poorly cooked, the vegetables were very watery. The fish was mediocre. I was expecting a lot more given the fact we were next to the fish port and the pricing of the meals. We did express our dissatisfaction and in no way did they aim to discount or offer any kind of return for us to contemplate giving them a second chance. Went to this restaurant and ordered two alcohol free drinks. Who i perceived to be the manager then preceded to charge us for the alcohol version of the drink which were double the price.

When we tried to explain that this was incorrect, she just refused to even acknowledge our existence. She even claimed she made the drinks herself with alcohol in them, so essentially outright lied to our face

Thanks to the help of some of her own waitering staff who sided with us, we managed to get our refunds. As we were tourist in the area, it was clear she was trying to take advantage of us. A big thank you to the waitering staff who tried helping us deal with the situation, you were great.
